Join us for the April 2026 NCITE section meeting which will include a presentation on the on aesthetic surface treatments (AST). Interest in ASTs (decorative, non-reflective pavement surface treatments) is growing, and MnDOT is receiving more requests for their use on trunk highway facilities. Ethan Peterson (MnDOT) and Josh Palmateer (SEH) will summarize their research and introduce the MnDOT AST Technical Memorandum. They will focus on how MnDOT is moving toward a consistent statewide approach for location selection and suitability, as well as how proposals move through permitting and implementation. They will also discuss long term maintenance best practices and how responsibilities can be clearly defined to support durable, repeatable outcomes.

Note that the in-person registration fee includes one (1) drink ticket. Registration closes on April 14th.
